Arsenal are keen on making a move for Bayern Munich midfield ace Mario Gotze, according to reports.
Gotze’s relationship with Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly soured over recent months, and the World Cup-winner has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena.
According to Daily Express [via Metro], Arsenal are planning to take full advantage of the situation by making a move for the 23-year-old.
The report suggests Gotze could become available for £49.6m, however, the Gunners face stiff competition for the youngster’s signature.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is also understood to be keen on luring Gotze to the Premier League and there’s no doubt the Germany star would be a massive addition to either side.
Gotze has played 60 Bundesliga matches for Bayern Munich since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
He scored the winning goal in the 2014 FIFA World Cup final during Germany’s nerve-racking extra-time win over Argentina.
