Gunners keen on Barca full-back.
Arsenal are eyeing a dramatic January move for Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, according to Spanish daily AS.
The 29-year-old is regarded as one of the finest attacking right-backs in world football but his place in the Barca first team is under threat from youngster Martin Montoya, and the Brazilian has managed just eight league appearances this term.
With the future of French international Bacary Sagna still unresolved, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is likely to be in the market for a right-back in January and reportedly believes Alves can be persuaded to leave the Nou Camp.
The Selecao international has been with the Catalans since joining from Sevilla in 2008 and has won 14 major trophies whilst at the club.
Arsenal by comparison have not won a major trophy for nearly eight years, a miserable record that may deter Alves from moving to North London.
While Wenger is not known for signing players approaching 30, the Gunners boss is under pressure to make big signings in January, with his side currently well of the pace in the Premier League title race.
