Gunners may revive interest in former Blues striker.
One-time Chelsea front man has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Arsenal, reports the Sun.
Lille attacker Salomon Kalou has confirmed that he would be interested in making a return to the English Premier League, just a season after the Ivory Coast international departed Chelsea.
Kalou left Stamford Bridge for Ligue 1 outfit Lille last summer having spent six successful seasons in west London, with Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger at the time expressing an interest in bringing the player to the Emirates.
However, the Frenchman opted against signing Kalou at that time, although he may very well return to snap the 27-year-old up when the transfer window once again reopens for business on June 1.
Despite signing forward Olivier Giroud from Ligue 1 champions Montpellier for £9.6 million last summer the France international, who was top scorer in the French top flight last season, has failed to convince in attack for the North London giants this campaign.
And supplementing Giroud’s graft and physicality with the wit, creativity and goals of Kalou, who has a respectable ten strikes in 31 appearances for Lille this campaign, could be the ideal attacking partnership for Arsenal next season.
