Wenger has decided that Szczesny needs replacing at the Emirates.
Arsenal may make a surprise move for Stuttgart keeper Sven Ulreich at the end of the season, says talkSPORT.co.k.
The north London club are keen to find a new long-term No 1 after manager Arsene Wenger finally lost patience with current first-choice Wojciech Szczesny.
The young Poland international had appeared to have established himself in goal at the Emirates this campaign, only to then be dropped by Wenger earlier this year for the club’s crucial second leg last-16 Uefa Champions League encounter at Bayern Munich due to what the Frenchman called “mental fatigue”.
And now Wenger is keen to bring Ulreich to the capital when the transfer window opens this summer, with the 24-year-old shot stopper currently contracted to the Bundesliga giants until May 2017.
Ulreich is at present a Germany Under-21 international with three caps to his name over a four-year period, while for Stuttgart he has made 106 appearances for the club since making his top-flight debut in 2008.
