Arsenal highlights
The 26-year-old’s brace against Reading this weekend sent the Gunners through to the final, with Villa confirmed as their opponents after they beat Liverpool at Wembley the following day.
Although Arsene Wenger’s side will be favourites against the Premier League relegation strugglers, the loss of Sanchez would see the club without their top scorer and best player for the season, with the South American forward looking world class since joining the club from Barcelona.
Goalkeeper David Ospina, a Colombian international, and Brazilian defender Gabriel could also be called up to their squads for the tournament, with FIFA regulations supposedly stating the north London giants would be powerless to prevent the trio leaving the club for international duty at the end of May.
