CM – 8. Mikel Arteta
The Spaniard has struggled at times this term and is still looking to adjust to the more deeplying role he is now being asked to play, but is a more positive inclusion than Mathieu Flamini.
CM – 16. Aaron Ramsey
The impressive Welshman is back in the side after injury and was on the score-sheet against Hull and the presence of Arteta will give him more freedom to roam.
RM – 19. Santi Cazorla
It’s sometimes been a difficult second year in England for the 29-year-old, who has not been as impressive as in 2012/13 but has been to edging back towards his best recently.
CAM – 11. Mesut Ozil
Wenger says his club record £42.5m signing needs time to adjust at a new team and the Germany international is certainly worth indulging for what he is capable of.
LM – 9. Lukas Podolski
Does not give the same work rate and creativity on the left flank as others, but if the side are lacking goals then they can always turn to Podolski – who is extremely reliable in that department.
