CM – Mathieu Flamini
Will provide the defensive cover that the away team are likely to need in a game that Bayern are expected to dominate, with Wenger’s men needing to break up play and hit the hosts on the counter.
CM – Mikel Arteta
The Spaniard’s ability as a deep-lying playmaker will be just what the visitors need in game where they are likely to be pushed back towards their own goal.
RW – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Has been impressive since returning from a knee injury that kept the England international out for much of the current term and should get a start ahead of veteran Tomas Rosicky.
CAM – Mesut Ozil
The club record £42.4m signing has come in for some serious criticism of late, no more than for the attacking midfielder’s performance in the first-leg with Bayern, but a well taken finish against the Toffees at the weekend should have given the 25-year-old some confidence.
LW – Santi Cazorla
The away team will need to be good on the ball and not waste their opportunities, which is why using Cazorla as a second playmaker in attacking midfield could be a useful commodity.
