The Frenchman was at fault for Hull’s goal a week ago – albeit he was fouled in the process.
It’s been a spectacular season for the Frenchman, clearly one of the league’s best at the back and if Arsenal weren’t on the way up you can imagine a few clubs on the continent trying a speculative bid. But there’s not even a slight chance he will actually leave this summer.

There’s no big inkling as to why Per Mertesacker would be dropped for the Brazilian but given this is a fixture Arsenal will be expected to win, it’s late season, it’s at home – we have a slight suspicion Arsene Wenger might thrust him into the action to get game-time and to demonstrate just how the Gunners future defence may look when he eventually replaces the big Germany permanently.
