How the Gunners are likely to start against their bitter rivals…
Arsenal will be desperate to bounce back from their midweek Champions League exit, and here’s how we reckon the Gunners will line up today against Spurs.
Watch the top 10 best Arsenal games of all time.
GK – Wojciech Szczesny
Lukas Fabianski was sensational for the Gunners midweek against Bayern, but with Szczesny available again following suspension, he’ll likely return to the starting XI.
RB – Bacary Sagna
An automatic starter when fit. The Frenchman provides as much offensively as he does defensively, too.
CB – Per Mertesacker
Predicting Arsenal’s back four is pretty easy. Mertesacker starts alongside Koscielny if both are fit.
CB – Laurent Koscielny
The Frenchman gave away a late penalty in the Champions League, but actually put in a pretty heroic performance. He’ll have to deal with Adebayor at White Hart Lane today though.
LB – Nacho Monreal
Thomas Vermaelen was excellent against Bayern, but picked up a late injury. Kieran Gibbs is also crocked, meaning Spaniard Monreal should start on the left of the back four.
