Isco is an incredible attacking midfielder just entering the prime of his career.
As Arsenal continue their hunt for the next great striker to bring to Emirates Stadium, they’ve also set their sights on one of Real Madrid’s top midfield stars.
According to the Express, Arsenal have targeted attacking midfielder Isco for a January transfer and are readying a bid of £22 million to get him. Arsenal are believed to be facing a potential transfer war with Manchester City for his services.
Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, better know as Isco, was a breakout star for Malaga when he joined the club in 2011 and was one of the most decorated rising stars over his two year stay with the club.
Isco won the coveted Golden Boy award in 2012, and joined Real Madrid on a €30 million transfer out of Malaga in 2013. He has been a mainstay at the midfield ever since.
In Isco’s first two seasons with the La Liga outfit he had 66 appearances and 12 goals.
The Golden Boy Award is shared by the likes of Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Paul Pogba, Raheem Sterling and Lionel Messi among other major stars.
Arsenal are also believed to be pursuing Juventus striker Simone Zaza.
