Moroccan has been a huge disappointment at the Emirates.
Arsenal are said to be desperate to offload misfiring front man Marouane Chamakh this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The Morocco international arrived at the Emirates on a free transfer from Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux three years ago, with the attacker receiving a bumper four-year deal in the process.
However, in the intervening three years Chamakh has struggled badly for form in front of goal for the Gunners, managing to find the back of the net on just seven occasions in 29 Premier League contests in his first season in north London.
But things only got worse after his debut campaign in the capital, with the 29-year-old then registering only once in the top flight in the entire 2011-12 season, and in the last campaign the attacker did not record a single league strike for Arsene Wenger’s men.
As a result, the club are keen to get the player off their books when the transfer window reopens for business on 1 July.
