The Gunners are considering a bid for Napoli’s Insigne.
Arsenal are keeping tabs on Napoli ace striker Lorenzo Insigne and may table a £17m if the Italian succeeds in impressing at the 2014 World Cup, reports the Metro.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be searching for a new forward for quite some time now and the Frenchman is keeping tabs on Insigne.
The versatile 23-year-old normally plies his trade on the left wing, but is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or a secondary striker.
The diminutive attacker has had a pretty decent season with the Serie A giants, scoring 9 goals and providing 11 assists in 51 club appearances.
It is believed that Wenger has asked his talent spotters to follow the player closely during the tournament in Brazil, following which he will decide upon whether to make an effort to sign him.
Insigne has earned five caps for Italy so far in his career and scored one goal.
