Gunners set to swoop for New Zealand international Winston Reid.
Arsenal are set to make a £4 million offer for West Ham United central defender Winston Reid, report the Mail, after Hammers manager Sam Allardyce admitted that the former FC Midtjylland man would not be signing a new contract at Upton Park before his current deal expires in the summer.

Reid has been one of the Hammers’ most consistent players this season as they have launched an unlikely assault on the top four places in the Premier League – but they could be forced to cash in on Reid, rather than lose the player on a free transfer.
Arsenal believe that £4m should be enough to force West Ham’s hand into selling Reid – with the Gunners on the look out for centre back cover, having had just Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny as senior options during the season so far.
