The Frenchman has recently made a return to the under-21 side recently and featured in the 3-2 defeat to Middlesbrough at the Riverside earlier this week after a horrid string of injuries.
Arsene Wenger is said to be keen to offer him the chance to prove that he still has a future at the club, and will be buoyed by recent reports from U21 chief Steve Gatting, who billed him as “excellent” in the victory over Reading last week.
But whether he proves that his fitness is good enough for a run in the first team, Wenger is keen to offer him the chance to continue his rehabilitation at the Emirates as he still believes in the former France international’s talent.
