Gunners to make second offer for Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.
Arsenal are set to make a second bid for Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, according to Spanish newspaper Super Deporte.
Guaita, 27, is keen to leave Los Che this summer and his agent has already held informal talks with the Gunners.
Dicky Law, Arsenal’s chief negotiator, was reportedly in Valencia on Tuesday but the Gunners’ opening offer of just €5m was laughed off by Los Che president Amadeo Salvo, who initially demanded Guaita’s €30m release must be met.
However, Salvo is reportedly willing to soften his stance and begin negotiations from €20m and is expecting a second offer from the North London outfit.
Guaita has been with Valencia his entire career but was left out of the first team for the club’s opening La Liga match of the season, with Diego Alves preferred between the sticks.
