Arsenal are keen to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani, according to reports.
Arsene Wenger is looking to bolster his attacking stocks before the end of the summer transfer window, and with talks over Real Madrid star Karim Benzema dragging on, the Gunners are ready to move for an alternative.
According to Fichajes [via Metro] Wenger is a long-term admirer of the Uruguayan and Arsenal are now considering a deal to bring Cavani to the Emirates.
Cavani cost PSG £55m in 2013, but he has endured a topsy-turvy relationship with PSG boss Laurent Blanc.
Cavani has not always been first-choice at the star-studded Ligue 1 giants since joining from Napoli, but has an excellent goalscoring record with the Parisian club.
The 28-year-old has scored 34 goals in 65 league appearances for PSG and would be a huge addition to the Gunners should he put pen-to-paper on a deal with the North London club.
