Cazorla not joining Atletico Madrid, say Gunners.
Arsenal have dismissed reports that Santi Cazorla is on the verge of joining La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, reports the Daily Mirror.
Spanish daily Mrca and sister radio stations Onda Cero and Radio Marca have all claimed Cazorla has agreed personal terms ahead of a move to the Vincente Calderon.
But the Gunners have dismissed the reports and insist the 28-year-old will not be allowed to leave this summer.
Atletico president Miguel Angel Gil has reportedly been in London and wants to sign the Spain international playmaker, after missing out on him last summer, when Arsenal paid Malaga £12m to bring Cazorla to the Emirates.
The diminutive midfielder enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premier League, scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists, whilst featuring in every one of the club’s league matches.
