Arsenal make £25.5m bid for Sporting Lisbon star and Manchester United target William Carvalho
In an effort to beat their Premier League rivals to the midfielder the Gunners have launched a bid to bring the Portugal international to the Emirates Stadium, according to the Daily Star.
Carvalho has been on the Red Devils’ wishlist for some time, but it is Arsene Wenger who has made the first move to sign the 22-year-old after admitting central midfield was his priority for January recruitment.
The Portuguese ace has played 54 times for Sporting in all competitions to date and also has nine caps for his national team.
