Wednesday’s biggest stories for the Gunners.
Arsenal confident of signing Legia Warsaw wonderkid Krystian Bielik despite Hamburg interest
The club have sent chief negotiator Dick Laws to Poland to finalise the deal for the 17-year-old, but the interest from the Bundesliga will drive Bielik’s price above £2.5m, reports the London Evening Standard.
The teenager toured Hamburg’s ground and training facilities and the German side have tabled an offer of £2.3m for the midfielder, but the Gunners still lead the chase.
Bielik has his sights set on a move to the Emirates Stadium and Legia president Boguslaw Lesnodorski expects the transfer to be confirmed this week.
