Liverpool in talks with QPR over Arsenal-target Loic Remy
Liverpool are thought to be closing in on QPR’s wantaway striker Loic Remy but, according to the Daily Mirror, are first insisting that the Frenchman lowers his wage demands.
Remy, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle United, and has been a target for Arsenal for several months, has no intention of staying with the newly promoted club this campaign, as he looks to secure himself Champions League football.
The Reds have spoken to QPR, and the France World Cup striker has an £8m escape clause in his contract at Loftus Road for Champions League clubs. However, Liverpool have been put off by Remy’s personal terms, and it is understood he is demanding between £80-90,000-a-week.
