Real Madrid to provide competition for signing of Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo
There has been some interest from the North Londoners in the 29-year-old, but now Madrid look keen to re-sign the Spaniard after seven years away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The Mirror reports that Los Blancos are interested in Negredo despite letting him leave in 2007 and are prepared to pay £15m for the forward.
City want closer to £20m though and Wenger is keeping tabs as well following Olivier Giroud’s injury – which is likely to keep the 27-year-old out of action until 2015.
