Gunners defender rejects new contract
Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen has reportedly rejected the club’s offer of a new contract as he looks set to leave the Emirates Staidium this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Napoli are all on alert for the Belgian centre-back, who has found himself out of favour with Arsene Wenger for over a year now.
The Gunners boss had still hoped to keep the 28-year-old as part of his squad, but it now looks increasingly likely that he will be sold this summer.
