Gunners agree £12m fee for Liverpool defender
Arsenal have agreed a fee of £12m with rivals Liverpool for the signing of Danish defender Daniel Agger, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners are looking for a new signing in defence after allowing Thomas Vermaelen to join Barcelona for £15m, and Agger has emerged as Arsene Wenger’s top target in that position.
Liverpool have accepted Arsenal’s offer for the out-of-favour player, and the experienced stopper will now discuss personal terms over a move to the Emirates Stadium.
