As if Man City didn’t have enough frustrations with Arsenal to deal with, the Gunners’ recent acquisition of Karim Benzema has put them into a precarious situation with Sergio Aguero.
According to a report from Fichajes.net, Real Madrid are stepping up their efforts to land Sergio Aguero as a potential replacement for Benzema and are lining up a €90m deal for the Citizens’ star goal scorer.
Earlier today it was reported that Arsenal were on the verge of completing a deal for Benzema, which means Real Madrid will likely try to make Man City an offer they can’t refuse.
Aguero led the Premier League with 26 league goals last season and has 78 league goals since joining the Citizens on a £38 million transfer back in 2011.
Man City spent over £45 million on former Liverpool star Raheem Sterling, and for enough cash, Manuel Pellegrini’s hand might be forced.
