Arsenal are keen that Arsene Wenger’s successor as Manager is his current Assistant Steve Bould…
Arsenal great Steve Bould, who has received several plaudits for his performance as Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger’s No.2 in recent seasons, is now being groomed by the club hierarchy to take over from the Frenchman in 2017.
Wenger recently penned a new deal at Arsenal that will keep him at the club until 2017, and the North Londoners may not have to look too far for a replacement.
Bould has reportedly impressed Wenger himself by carrying out his responsibilities diligently, and the next 3-years could be the grooming period for the former England centre-back.
The 51-year old is also being tracked by West Brom for their manager’s post, and has sneaked under the radar as a man who could be useful in a managerial capacity in the Premier League.
Arsenal’s boardroom too is in favour of building from within, and should Bould make the requisite progress in the next few seasons, we might well see him appointed as a successor to Arsene Wenger.
