Gunners are currently offloading all their dead wood from the club.
Arsenal have allowed midfield player Francis Coquelin to join Bundersliga outfit SC Freiburg on loan for next season, reports the Daily Mirror.
The France Under-21 international has been in north London for his whole career to date, having originally arrived at the Emirate five seasons ago now.
And in the intervening five-year period, the 22-year-old has featured in just 68 matches in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s side, registering only the one goal and the three assists during that time, with that solitary strike coming during one of his 45 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
However, after spending the whole of the 2010-11 campaign out on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Lorient, the Frenchman has now opted to also spend next campaign away from the capital too, with Coquelin moving to Germany to play for Freiburg on a season-long loan spell, although Wenger does retain the option to recall the player should he need to.
