The legendary keeper was booed during Real Madrid’s latest La Liga defeat, and with Keylor Navas waiting in the wings, it seems as though Casillas’s tenure as Los Blancos no.1 is coming to and end.
Arsene Wenger has been a long-term fan of the Spanish World Cup winning captain, and could bring him to replace Wojciech Szczesny as the Gunners’ no.1.
Szczesny performed poorly in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening, and with David Ospina on the bench, Arsenal could have three keepers to choose from in 2015 if Casillas is signed.
