Arsenal are reportedly looking to follow up their signing of David Ospina with a move for another Colombian World Cup star, Juan Fernando Quintero, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners today confirmed the addition of goalkeeper Ospina from French side Nice, and Arsene Wenger is already looking at further signings with the addition of another exciting South American talent.
Quintero, 21, currently plays for Portuguese giants Porto, and his tremendous potential and style of play has seen him compared with Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi, while he could also follow in the footsteps of his fellow countryman James Rodriguez, who first established himself at the same club.
Although Arsenal are already well-stocked in the attacking midfield department, Quintero would represent a good investment for the north London club, who could also be set to lose Spanish attacker Santi Cazorla to Atletico Madrid this summer.
Like many of the members of this Colombia squad, Quintero impressed at this summer’s World Cup, scoring a well-taken goal for his side in their 2-1 win over the Ivory Coast in the group stages.
