Arsenal are still hopeful of making another big-money signing before the end of this summer’s transfer window, with Arsene Wenger keen on Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners have already spent big on the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers, but Wenger wants to add Reus to his already exciting looking attack for next season.
The German international has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga for some time now, establishing himself first at Borussia Monchengladbach before moving to Dortmund, where he has shone as one of the team’s most influential players.
Other top clubs have been linked with Reus this summer, but with Barcelona and Real Madrid already spending big on new attacking players, Arsenal sense that they may have an opportunity to move to the front of the queue for his signature before the end of the transfer window.
Dortmund will be determined not to lose another star player, but have been unable to prevent the likes of Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski leaving the club in recent times.
