Arsene Wenger has said vowed to be aggressive in the January window, identifying 3 potential signings.
According to the Daily Mail, the Frenchman has confirmed he will target club legend Thierry Henry on a loan spell, as well as long-term deals for Jan-Klaas Huntelaar of Schalke and England international Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.
Wenger stressed that the funds would be available to him in order to strengthen the squad. The return of hero and all-time top goalscorer Thierry Henry, in what would be his third spell at the club (second on loan) seems like a certainty, as the player wants to keep active during the Major League Soccer break.
Wenger, however is also keen to secure players for the long-term success of the club and has picked out Schalke’s prolific goalscorer Huntelaar as the perfect replacement to compatriot Robin van Persie in the striking department. The German club is said to be looking for a bid in the region £20 million to part ways with the Dutchman.
Zaha, a rising prospect, having a great season for Palace in the Championship is thought of as a long-term investment and it is believed Wenger holds him in very high regard.
