Arsenal have been linked with a move for Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez.
According to the Daily Express, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger became interested in the 24-year-old winger during the summer transfer window.
Mahrez has continued to impress Wenger with his performances this season, as he has scored four goals in five appearances for the Foxes.
This already marks a Premier League career high in goals scored for a season, so a breakout year appears to be on the horizon for the Foxes winger.
The Algerian international was once dubbed the “bargain of the century,” and he is currently under contract with Leicester City through 2019.
This will likely make it relatively difficult for Arsenal to lure the rising star away from the Foxes.
However, Wenger will be under a lot of pressure to make a move after a quiet summer that ended only with the signing of goalkeeper Petr Cech.
