Coquelin is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season but, with experienced teammates Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta also coming to the end of their contracts, Coquelin looks set to stay to provide additional squad depth at least.
The Frenchman also enjoyed a stint on loan in the Bundesliga with Freiburg last season and will be looking to establish himself firmly in the starting line up between now and the end of the season.
