Dynamo Kyiv might think twice about letting Andriy Yarmolenko go with the Champions League coming up.
With the transfer window just a few days from closing, Arsenal are trying to land one more big scoring threat to make up for losing Karim Benzema, and Dynamo Kyiv forward Andriy Yarmolenko looks like the prime target.
According to the Metro, Arsenal are weighing up a bid of around £14.5 million for the 25-year-old forward from Dynamo Kyiv. The Metro reported that Arsene Wenger met with Yarmolenko last week to discuss a transfer to London amidst interest from Everton and Barcelona.
Andriy Yarmolenko has 71 goals in 177 appearances in the Ukranian Premier League and led the Europa League in assists last year.
Last November, Yarmolenko recorded his first hat trick for the Ukranian National team in a Euro 2016 qualifying match against Luxemborg en route to a 3-0 victory.
Dynamo Kyiv were placed into Group G of the Champions League with Chelsea, Porto and Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Should the Gunners succeed in separating Yarmolenko from his club, it will provide a huge boost to their Premier League nemesis in the Group Stage.
