Oxlade-Chamberlain has not played since Arsenal’s FA Cup win over Manchester United on March 9, where he was substituted in the second-half in obvious discomfort.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners are hoping the England international does not require surgery, and Arsene Wenger even went as far as to say that the 21-year-old would return to full training by this weekend.
However, the report confirms the former Southampton had not returned to training as of Thursday.
Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to miss he closing stages of the season for the second year running after he suffering similar groin problems.
He missed Arsenal’s FA Cup final win over Hull City, but recovered in time to be selected in England’s 2014 World Cup squad.
The winger played no part in Brazil after suffering yet another injury setback before the Three Lions’ final group game against Costa Rica.
