Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez hopes to see injured striker Danny Welbeck back in action soon judging by his latest Instagram post.
Welbeck has been sidelined since April due to bruising on the bone of his left knee, and the England international underwent surgery on damaged cartilage last week and is expected to be out until at least Christmas.
It is clear Welbeck’s absence has had an effect on Arsene Wenger’s men, with Sanchez taking to social media to give “strength” to his attacking counterpart.
“Much strength my friend and I hope that you return to the team soon and to see you happy as in this photo,” Sanchez wrote.
Wenger was expected to sign a new striker during the summer, and the extended absence of Welbeck means the Gunners are light on attacking options until the New Year when the 24-year-old is expected to return.
