Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been fined £20,000 for his actions.
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been hit by a fine of £20,000 by his manager Arsene Wenger after the Pole was caught smoking in the showers following the New Year’s Day defeat to Southampton, report the Mirror, although the club have denied other reports that have suggested he won’t play for the club again.

Emirates Stadium manager Wenger is said to have reacted furiously after Szczesny was caught lighting up following the defeat on the south coast, during which Szczesny was at fault for both goals, with the player also dropped for the weekend FA Cup tie against Hull City – although that may have happened anyway.
It remains to be seen whether Szczesny will earn his place back for the upcoming Premier League match against Stoke, with Wenger clearly viewing this offence as worse than previous smoking misdemeanors involving Jack Wilshere.
