Turkish giants Beskitas are lining up a shock deal for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck, according to reports.
Welbeck, who scored four Premier League goals for the Gunners last season, has caught the eye of the Istanbul-based club with Arsenal believed to be chasing a big-money stiker this summer.
Turkish newspaper Aksam claims Besiktas are plotting a move to lure the England international to the club and are preparing a bid between £7 and £10.6m.
Metro reports Arsenal will likely reject any approach from Besiktas, however there’s no dobnt Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be expecting an improved season from the 24-year-old following a below-par start to his Arsenal career.
Welbeck joined Arsenal in a high-profile transfer from Manchester United last summer and managed just eight goals in all competitions for the North London club.
The striker was forced to miss the Gunners pre-season trip to Singapore due to a knee injury.
