Milan looking at Campbell to help plug gap in attack.

It looks as if the transfer of Mario Balotelli to Liverpool is on the verge of completion and AC Milan are eyeing Arsenal’s Joel Campbell as a potential replacement, according to the Mirror.
It’s thought Balotelli will complete a £16m switch to Anfield on Monday and the Serie A club have already relayed their interest in Campbell to manager Arsene Wenger.
Wenger is a keen admirer of the 22-year-old and said this summer that the forward would get a chance at the Emirates Stadium in 2014/15 after his impressive performances for Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup.
However, chances are still likely to be limited for Campbell in the first team due to the plethora of talent available to the Frenchman and Milan are offering a tempting loan deal.
Not only would the Costa Rican be able to play in a highly competitive Italian top tier, but La Rossoneri are also prepared to pay 100% of the player’s wages during his stay at the San Siro.
Campbell joined the Gunners from Deportivo Saprissa in his home nation in the summer of 2011 and has since had loan spells with Lorient, Real Betis and most recently Olympiakos.
Galatasaray also expressed interest in the attacker this summer, but were told that he is not for sale.
