It looks like Bacary Sagna is heading to the Etihad…
Read more Arsenal rumours.
Arsenal’s stalwart French right-back Bacary Sagna will be leaving the Emirates this summer on the expiration of his contract, and has already begin discussions with Premier League champions Manchester City over signing for them instead, reports the Telegraph.
The 31-year-old has excelled at Arsenal during his tenure, but the Gunners are refusing to improve their three year £90k-per-week offer – while the Etihad side are happy to meet his £100k-per-week demands.
City already have Pablo Zabaleta, but are keen on acquiring the excellent Frenchman as backup.
Sagna won his first piece of silverware with Arsenal last weekend with an FA Cup triumph, and left the pitch, for what’s certain to be the last time as an Arsenal player, in tears.
