Wilshere corrects Sky after he is labelled a defender.
“@SkySportsNews: Arsenal defender Jack Wilshere misses training ahead of Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund #SSN” new position?
— Jack Wilshere (@JackWilshere) November 5, 2013
The arrival of Mesut Ozil at Arsenal – coupled with the phenomenal form of Aaron Ramsey – has forced Jack Wilshere to play in an unfamiliar left wing position at times this season.
The England star has taken the change in his stride but with Lukas Podolski, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all set to return before the New Year, competition for places in the Gunners talented midfield is only likely to increase.
However, it is yet to get to the point where boss Arsene Wenger has been forced to relocate Wilshere to defence – although broadcaster Sky Sports News seem to think it has!
The 21-year-old took to twitter to correct Sky, who incorrectly labelled him a defender in a tweet…
At least the resulting activity, including nearly 3,000 retweets, will have filled some time for Wilshere, who, as Sky reveal, is currently sidelined with another ankle injury…
