Several names at the Emirates have wished Frimpong luck at Barnsley.
In one of the less talked about transfers of deadline day Emmanuel Frimpong joined Barnsley from Arsenal to end a difficult period at the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder has failed to play a single match for the Gunners this season and has made just 16 first team appearances in total since progressing from the youth academy in 2011.
Frimpong has had loan spells at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Fulham, but never did enough to impress manager Arsene Wenger.
The Ghana international came through the ranks alongside Jack Wilshere, but does not possess the same talent as the Englishman.
Wilshere was one of the stars from north London wishing Frimpong all the best on his Yorkshire adventure.
Good luck to my friend @IAMFRIMPONG26 12 years together mate! Wouldn’t of got where I am with out you bro! #Bromance #LoveHate 😉

Good luck my friend @IAMFRIMPONG26 #nomorefunwithmybro #staydench

Despite spending no time on the pitch Frimpong is extremely active on social media and is clearly a popular character within the dressing room.
However, it is clear that Championship football is probably the best place for the 22-year-old, who also made his appreciation of the north London club known.
AFC thank you for the memories thanks for the support thanks for the Love.I wish the team wins the league this year.Forever will be in my ❤️
