Costa Rican hopeful of Emirates stay.
Arsenal striker Joel Campbell has distanced himself from a proposed move to Italian giants AC Milan by insisting that he is proud to be a Gooner, according to Inside Futbol.
The Costa Rican was scouted by Milanese scouts during the weekend’s Emirates Cup, and even arranged a meeting with Campbell’s agent after the Benfica game.
Milan expressed their desire to sign the former Olympiacos man, while Campbell’s agent revealed his client would be open to moving to the San Siro if Arsenal made him available.
However, Campbell has sought to distance himself from reports of a move by insisting that he is proud to be at the club by posting a message on Twitter.

Campbell found the net during their 5-1 over Portuguese giants Benfica, though he could not help the side from going down 1-0 to French moneybags Monaco.
Their failure to defeat Monaco handed the Emirates Cup title to Valencia, who Arsenal did not meet in the tournament.
