Morgan Schneiderlin wants Champions League football…

Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, reports the Express.
The 24-year-old was excellent for the Saints this term just gone, but his form arguably went unnoticed because of the wealth of English talent at St. Mary’s.
His form earned him a spot on standby for Didier Deschamps France World Cup squad, and the midfielder thinks it’s time for the next move in his career.
“For my progress and my visibility, it would be better to play for a club who play in the Champions League,” he said.
“I know there is a lot of speculation, but I still have three years on my contract, it does not depend on me. We’ll see in the coming weeks.”
The Gunners want central midfield reinforcements, and could take Schneiderlin’s comments as an invitation to make an offer for his services.
