Lyon playmaker Clement Grenier remains undecided on his future, amid Emirates Stadium link.
Arsenal target Clement Grenier is ‘waiting for answers’ from Lyon before deciding on his future, according to the midfielder’s agent.
Arsene Wenger admitted last month the Gunners are ‘following’ the 22-year-old, who is currently on international duty with France.
Reports in the Frenchman media on Tuesday claimed that Grenier would remain at the Stade Gerland this summer but not extend his current deal, but his agent, Frederic Guerra, stressed noting has been decided yet.
“There are a lot of questions surrounding Clement’s case. To choose is to give up. Clement has told [Lyon president] Jean-Michel Aulas and [Lyon manager] Remi Garde a number of things, and is waiting for answers,” Guerra is quoted as saying by ESPN.
“We’re supposed to meet each other when he gets back from holiday. Things are going the way that Clement is perhaps going to stay, but the reverse is possible too.
“There’s nothing definite, there are still meetings to be held. A career choice is not something to be left to chance. Are you really going to earn a year in your career by leaving straightaway? It’s really a major headache.”
Wenger has compared Grenier to former Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri, after the youngster scored seven goals and added six assist in just 28 Ligue 1 appearances for Garde’s side.
