Les Bleus international Maxime Gonalons is reportedly wanted at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal target Maxime Gonalons has refused to rule out leaving Lyon this summer.
With the Ligue 1 outfit continuing to struggle financially, the 24-year-old midfielder has been linked with a £10m move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger’s scouts are said to have watched the Lyon captain in action at the tail end of last season and were impressed with the France international, who scored three times in 35 appearances last term.
Last week, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas insisted Gonalons would not be sold to the Gunners, claiming the player wanted to remain with Lyon.
And while Gonalons concedes the he is focussed on his current employers, he admitted that a move was still possible.
“I looked on the internet and saw lots of rumours, though some things are true,” the player is quoted as saying by Sport.fr.
“Playing for a club like Olympique Lyonnais, I know other big clubs are watching us.
“I’m only concentrating on Lyon but things can move very quickly in football.”
