Khedira has long been linked with a switch to Arsenal, along with several other top Premier League sides, but Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies confirmed that they had recently entered talks to bring him back to his home country.
The 27-year-old World Cup winner gave an update on his future by admitting that he will see out the remainder of his contract at the Bernabeu and will continue to give his all until his final day.
“I love Real Madrid, it will be hard to leave this club,” Khedira said.
“I will give everything for this shirt until the last day of my contract, there should be no doubt about that.”
