Iker Casillas insists he has not issued Real with an ultimatum.
Arsenal target Iker Casillas has insisted he is happy to stay at Real Madrid despite losing the number one jersey.
Carlo Ancelotti has continued Jose Mourinho’s policy of using Diego Lopez as Los Blancos’ number one in La Liga but the Italian has handed Casillas, 32, starts in the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
Casillas, who is Real’s club captain and has been with the club since his teens, has admitted his dismay at the demotion but says he will not leave the Spanish capital, despite interest from Arsenal and Man City.
“My statements are straightforward and sincere. There is no ultimatum,” said Casillas.
