Gunners chasing Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches.
Arsene Wenger’s quest to bring in a third senior central defensive in January has led him to the most unlikely of places, with the Metro reporting that the Gunners are considering a bid to bring flop Tottenham Hotspur centre back Vlad Chiriches across North London when the transfer window reopens.

Chiriches has underperformed consistently for Spurs since signing for the club from Steaua Bucharest just over a year ago, with the Romanian international now looking unlikely to break up Mauricio Pochettino’s first choice partnership of Younes Kaboul and Jan Vertonghen.
The White Hart Lane club are likely to be willing to let Chiriches leave in January, but whether that is to their bitter North London neighbours remains to be seen and is perhaps less likely.
