Montella hints that the Viola may cash-in on Jovetic.
Arsenal target Stevan Jovetic could leave Fiorentina this summer, according to the Italian club’s boss Vincenzo Montella.
The Gunners are reportedly in advanced talks to sign the 23-year-old, who is also attracting interest from Serie A Champions Juventus.
And Montella has admitted for the first time that Jovetic could leave the Satdio Artemio Franchi this summer if the club recieve a big enough fee.
“You know Jovetic is a player with great talent who could have different ambitions,” Montella told Tuttosport.
“So, I think, as president [Andrea] Della Valle said, there is the possibility of him leaving if we were paid properly. I’m aware of this.”
Former Roma forward Montella guided Fiorentina to within a whisker of Champions League qualification with a fourth-placed finish in the Serie A but the tactician feels it will be hard to challenge for the European places next season.
“Next year it will be difficult to come third and maintain the trend of this season but I hope the fate of the end of this season, however, gives us more anger and ambition to achieve something,” he added.
A controversy Mario Balotelli penalty and a late winner by Philippe Mexes saw AC Milan beat Siena 2-1 on the final day of the season and pip Fiorentina to Champions League qualification by one point.
