There have been continued reports linking the 23 year old with a move away from Celtic Park with Arsenal and Manchester United keen to acquire his services.
Virgil van Dijk is keen on developing himself as a player and has expressed a desire to move to a top-flight club in England:
“I understand the point of view from the club and I see it as a compliment that they don’t want to let me go. But we have to be realistic. If there’s a nice club from England, we have to talk. I want to develop myself as a player, that’s for sure,” the defender said.
The Netherlands international feels he has been priced out of a move from the Scottish club; believing the asking price of £10m will put off those vying for his signature.
